    Spice and Wolf VR 2 Announced for PC, PSVR, Switch, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Go

    Developer Spicy Tails has announced that the VR animation Spice and Wolf VR 2 is coming to PlayStation VR, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Oculus Rift, and Oculus Go. A release date was not announced.

    The developer also revealed that the game will “probably work” with Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality headsets, but it will not support Oculus Quest 1 and 2.

    Spice and Wolf VR 2 is a sequel based on the popular light novel Spice and Wolf series written by Isuna Hasekura, with illustrations by Jū Ayakura. 

    The first VR game titled Spice and Wolf VR revolves around Kraft Lawrence, a 25-year-old traveling merchant who peddles various goods from town to town to make a living. One night while doing business in the town of Pasloe, he found in his wagon a wolf-deity named Holo who is over 600 years old. She takes the form of a 15-year-old girl, except for a wolf's tail and ears. He agreed to help her return to Yoitsu, her homeland in the North.

    Spice and Wolf VR was released on June 3, 2019, for PC supporting the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive VR, and the Oculus Go headsets. It was later released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on September 5, 2019, supporting the Nintendo Labo VR Kit and PlayStation VR. it is available in Japanese, Chinese, and English languages.
